MAE entrance is free of charge for the following categories of visitors:
(upon showing corresponding documents at the entrance)
- Great Patriotic War veterans;
- Combat actions veterans;
- Great Patriotic War and combat actions invalids;
- People decorated with the medal “For Leningrad’s Defense” and with a badge “To the Citizen of Leningrad under Siege”;
- Non-working invalids;
- Students of higher educational establishments of the Russian Federation;
- Orphans and children under school age;
- Museums’ employees, members of the Russian museums’ employees unions;
- ICOM (International Council of Museums) members;
A free of charge entrance once a month (last Thursday each month) for:
- Persons under 18;
- Members of large families of dependent children;
- Enlisted military men;
- Pensioners;
- Invalids;
This provision does not encompass the excursion service.
The following categories of citizens have a right to priority service:
Great Patriotic War participants and invalids; veterans and invalids of combat actions; people decorated with the medal “For Leningrad’s Defense” and with a badge “To the Citizen of Leningrad under Siege”; the Heroes of the Soviet Union, the Heroes of the Russian Federation and Knights of all Orders of Glory; RF citizens - Heroes of Socialist Labour and those, decorated with the Order of Glory, third degree, with the Order of Labour Glory of all three degrees; RF invalids.
The tickets purchased or received free of charge at the cashiers’ office of MAE entitle to a single entrance to the museum on the day of the purchase during the period of time indicated in the ticket. The unused ticket may be returned only on the day of purchase with 100% compensation of the price.
A free of charge ticket is handed out upon showing corresponding documents, certifying the right to obtain it.
