Traditional everyday life
Despite conspicuous changes in various spheres of contemporary Indian life, ancient traditions, which have been forming for centuries on end, still play an important role in everyday life. Each people and tribe has customs of its own, but all of them have an all-Indian content, in many aspects independent from religious and ethnic identity. This unity is preserved, first and foremost, in everyday norms, in everyday way of life, in traditional garments, homes and their interior, in folk cuisine and so on. Any man having interest for India must take into consideration the important role traditions play in the life of modern Indians.
