Director of Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (Kunstkamera) of the Russian Academy of Sciences Professor Andrei V. Golovnev was accepted as a Corresponding Member of the German Archaeological Institute
Official documents came from Berlin to St. Petersburg on the admission of the Director of the MAE RAS Professor Andrei V. Golovnev to the Corresponding Membership of the German Archaeological Institute. Normally a certificate in Latin on the conferment of this scientific title is awarded in a festive atmosphere in Berlin, but for obvious reasons this year the ceremony could not take place. More precisely, it was postponed indefinitely.
The German Archaeological Institute (DAI) is one of the largest archaeological research centers in the world and deals with the preservation of cultural heritage. Together with numerous partners in different countries DAI conducts scientific research the spectrum of which covers the study of the dynamics of social and cultural change; reconstruction of complex systems, including the relationship between humans and the environment.
Professor Andrei V. Golovnev has long-term fruitful cooperation with the German Archaeological Institute which includes participation in DAI scientific conferences, joint publishing and publication projects.
