On Friday, January 26, the MAE (Kunstkamera) RAS was visited for the first time by the Ambassador of Mexico to the Russian Federation, Eduardo Villegas Mejias, and his wife. 

Today, January 23, at 12:00, an online lecture was held by the Director of the MAE RAS, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Andrey Vladimirovich Golovnev for the Indian audience. The lecture on the topic “Northness of Russia” was held in English.

On December 28, 2023, the official visit of the Minister of External Affairs of India, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, took place as part of the Indological Conference.

On December 18, a meeting of the Northern Anthropological Seminar was held, within the framework of which there was a presentation of the book Landscape and Culture of the Peoples of Yakutia: Sacralization, Symbolic Strategies, Geocultural Images under the general editorship of E. N. Romanova, N. K. Danilova.

On November 20 at 2 pm, the grand opening of the memorial plaque to the outstanding scientist, ethnographer, linguist, decipherer of Mayan writing Yuri Knorozov took place.

On Monday, July 3, 2023, MAE (Kunstkamera) RAS was visited by Vice Consul of the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines Nonito S. Cabrera. At the meeting with Director of the MAE RAS Andrei Golovnev, he, together with the head of the Department of Ethnography of Australia, Oceania and Indonesia of the MAE RAS Maria, discussed the prospects for cooperation between the Embassy and the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography. The topics of cultural agreements, expeditions and publications were touched upon.
