Two sections organized by the staff members of the MAE RAS accepted for the 19th Congress of the International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences (IUAES) 2023 in New Delhi

We are pleased to announce that the 19th Congress of the International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences (IUAES) 2023, which will be held in New Delhi (India) on the 14-20th of October 2023, has approved two sections organized by the staff members of the MAE (Kunstkamera) RAS. Section “Anthropology of nutrition as a mega-discipline: fieldwork, language and archive” under the guidance of the head of the Department of European studies of the MAE RAS Dr. Alexander Novik (together with colleagues from Russia and Italy) and section “Researches, informants, mediators: as Russians scholars studied the countries of the Far South in XX-XXI centuries.” under the guidance of the senior researcher of the Department of South and South-West Asia of the MAE RAS, Dr. Elena Soboleva (together with co-convenors - head of the Department of South and South-West Asia of the MAE RAS, Prof. Igor Kotin and Indian colleague from Mumbai Vidya Svarge Madane) will be held in New Delhi in English in an onsite format. Call for papers is open until April 30, 2023.

The International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences (IUAES) is the largest world forum of anthropologists and ethnologists, whose members include more than fifty countries. The Congress is an annual event, but it is "nomadic", every year it is held in a new country.
