BRIEF BIOGRAPHY
In 1985, Natalia P. Kopaneva defended her dissertation and earned the Candidate of Philological sciences degree. From 1981 to 1993, she worked at the Library of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR as a Research assistant and as a Scientific secretary. From 1997 to 2010, she worked at the St. Petersburg Branch of the Archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences as a Research assistant and the Head of the Department. Starting 2011, she has been a Chief custodian of funds of the Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (the Kunstkamera).

History of the Kunstkamera, history of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the 18th century, history of the Russian-Western European scientific and cultural liasons in the 18th century.
